Four years ago I left my first footprints
on the Buckeye Trail, in Peninsula, Ohio.
At the time, it meant nothing more than
another run - I was simply logging miles
in preparation for my next event.

I used the trails to break up the monotony
of road running. Jumping over fallen trees,
crossing man-made bridges,dancing
through the roots while ascending and
descending hills became a passion.
Sharing the outdoors with nature is a
wonderful feeling; one you must experience
to truly understand.

diary is to not only share my training and
race adventures, or my thoughts on various
fitness related topics, but also to entice you to
leave your footprints behind. And not just in a
physical sense.
Each year I participate in a variety of events:
running, cycling, triathlon, etc. The cost to participate
varies, but there is one constant:
a portion of the proceeds benefit either a
charity or a cause. In the past several years many
events have gone green - offering Mother Nature a break
from the destructive path civilization is leaving behind.

Today, running is much more than a
healthy habit- it's about sharing, caring and supporting others.
I am proud to say my footprints make a difference. Do yours?
